Somerset Community Services Celebrates First Year With UAC

December 17, 2013

UAC Program Partner Somerset Community Services (SCS) celebrated its first year as a program partner by debuting its new website featuring a new logo, a new mission, and a new name!

SCS, now known as Center for H.O.P.E. (CFH), is a social service non-profit organization providing support services, life skills training, and other transitional resources for men aged 18 and over who are without homes and referred from the City of Philadelphia's Office of Supportive Housing.

We want to present CFH to the public in such a way that people understand the work that we do and can regonize our community as a valued resource,” said newly appointed Executive Director Robin Ingram. Ingram has over 30 years of experience working with populations most in need.

Along with CFH's new web address, the organization also has a new social media presence with a new Twitter and upcoming Facebook page. CFH plans to engage the public on issues related to chronic homelessness. “We want to make sure that our website tells the stories about people we serve, and also communicate our role as a change agent for those in need,” said Ingram.

CFH has also developed a unique service delivery model to assure that CFH community members get a customized packaging of support services, tailored by need. The organization plans to grow as a key resource for men in Philadelphia.
