Kiliani Named Project Director for Freedom Rings Partnership

February 15, 2011

Peter Kiliani is the new Project Director for UAC's Freedom Rings Partnership. The Freedom Rings Partnership is a $25 million federally-funded initiative led by the Urban Affairs Coalition and the City of Philadelphia, with Drexel University as a major partner.

The project is made up of grassroots organizations, government, and universities that will bring Internet access, training and technology to residents in low-income communities over the next two years.

Peter joins the Coalition with a long and diverse history in project management at for-profit and nonprofit organizations. A trained engineer with a Drexel MBA in marketing, he possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and a thorough knowledge about print and web-based communications strategies. Most recently, Peter was at Nonprofit Technology Resources (NTR), where he directed a computer literacy and computer refurbishing training program for welfare recipients. It is of note that NTR also played a role in helping the Freedom Rings Partnership with the launch of its program at the MLK Day of Service on January 17, 2011.
