Position Summary: 
The Revolution School (RS) seeks a skilled Advancement Associate to help support the daily operations of advancement. The Advancement Associate is an instrumental member of the growing team at Revolution School, a progressive high school opening in Philadelphia during the fall 2019.
Salary & Benefits: 
This is a part-time position consisting of a minimum of 15 hours per week. Schedules will be created collaboratively and on occasion may include night or weekend work. Compensation commensurate with experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Works closely with the Head of School (HOS) to support all approaches to fundraising, including events, grant writing, campaigns, and annual giving efforts as appropriate;
  • In collaboration with communication staff and administrative leadership, develops and manages cultivation and stewardship programs, events, and communications;
  • Manages and optimizes the use of our fundraising relational database by developing policies and protocols for data entry, accuracy and quality of data and data maintenance that will be implemented within the database and used for other databases on campus;
  • Helps identify prospects for EITC/OSTC, major gifts and planned giving solicitation through data research by use of wealth screening engines/services;
  • Processes, reconciles and transmits donations and pledges as received. Ensures accurate record keeping and donor acknowledgment;
  • Creates and maintains relationships within the School and in the greater community, corresponding with prospects and partners as necessary.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a related field;
  • Sincere belief in progressive education, the mission and core values of Revolution School;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with internal and external constituents, sponsors, and key stakeholders;
  • Meticulously accurate, detail-oriented and committed to maintaining confidentiality;
  • Familiarity with relational databases (such as Donor Perfect) preferred;
  • Experience with event planning, including budgets and volunteer management preferred;
  • Excellent writing skills and experience developing social media campaigns and donor publications;
  • Proficiency with business record keeping and presentation software applications. Specific experience with google suite preferred.
