Waterfront Corporation Plans to Work with Women- and Minority-Owned Businesses

The Delaware River Waterfront Corporation has plans to spend about 25 to 30 percent of its discretionary budget working with women- and minority-owned businesses.

That money -- about $1.05 million -- will supports goods and services from those businesses this fiscal year.

UAC Partners with City to Relaunch Program to Help Working Philadelphians Buy Homes

 Mayor Michael A. Nutter relaunched Philadelphia Home•Buy•Now, a program that helps Philadelphia’s workforce to become homeowners. The City provides incentives for participating employers to volunteer to provide their employees with grants or forgivable loans toward the purchase price of a new home within the city limits. The City will match this funding up to $4,000 per home buyer.
